Things To Do
1. Eat Less
When you are going to someplace you should eat less from the beginning of the day. Neither more Nor less keep a balance. Going with an empty stomach is also not a good idea as you will feel hungry and it will make you feel sick and even drink less water as the water is the thing that creates the effect while travelling
2. Try short travelling
Train your body by travelling to short distances in car or bus. This will help your body to adjust. It's an old concept that if you want to do great things start with setting short goals, the same thing applies to your body.
3. Keep your mouth salty
You should avoid sweet things more while travelling and keep your mouth salty. I commonly use the pack of chips and break them into little pieces and eat them at a really slow rate.
4. Use earplugs
While travelling in the hilly areas everyone feels the sensation in the ears. To avoid this use earplugs.
You can also apply this while going on a flight.
5. Take Window seat
Take the window seat of the vehicle you are travelling whether it's a car or bus and most importantly avoid the back seats and looking at the back. This will also make you feel like vomiting. Follow the concept of sitting on the window seat and enjoy the view outside and just relax.
6. Take medicine
I don't literally recommend people to take medicine because I am neither a doctor nor I am in favour of it but when there is not any other chance I take the chance with it and take tablets with ondansetron salt in it. You can ask your doctor to prescribe any such medicine.
This medicine works on nausea but I always take the lightest dose possible.
Things not to do
1. Don't use mobile
Don't use your mobile and avoid reading while travelling as when we try to concentrate on one thing our mind has to make a lot of efforts and it's even difficult if your vehicle is not so smooth or the roads are not smooth which is common in India.
2. Don't sleep
I literally don't have a problem with sleeping if you don't bow your head down but it is nearly impossible to know when you have already slept. So I avoid sleeping.
3. Avoid Non-veg food
I am also a non-veg person but while travelling I don't eat non-veg as it takes more time to digest and more time it is in the stomach which creates a nauseous effect.
4. Avoid pollution
The smoke and the pollution caused by cars, trucks or buses can also lead to vomiting so try not to inhale that.
Conclusion:
I applied all this on my Leh Ladhak trip and avoided the vomiting in my 20 hrs non-stop bus drive from Leh to Manali.
Thank you for reading this.😄😄😄
